3,000 Electric Buses to be Introduced in RTC – CM Revanth
CM Revanth Reddy has announced the introduction of 3,000 electric buses in Telangana's RTC to promote eco-friendly transport. Hyderabad is set to become the electric vehicle capital of India, with improved connectivity and increased employment opportunities. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has announced that 3,000 electric buses will be introduced into the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) soon, prioritizing eco-friendly transportation in the state. He revealed that Hyderabad, the state capital, is already a leader in the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) across India and has secured the top position in EV sales. He emphasized that these buses would not only enhance public convenience but also significantly reduce air pollution.
CM Revanth Reddy clarified that Hyderabad is set to become the electric vehicle capital of India. With improved connectivity from the Outer Ring Road (ORR) to the Regional Ring Road (RRR), the city aims to develop as a manufacturing hub. He believes this initiative will create numerous employment opportunities for the youth of the state. The project is expected to bring revolutionary changes to the transport sector.
The Chief Minister also mentioned that Telangana is actively inviting global investors for electric vehicle production. The state government has developed an extensive action plan to transform Telangana into a clean energy hub. Special facilities will be provided to EV manufacturing companies, and investment programs will be implemented. The decision is expected to contribute to environmental conservation, reduce the consumption of petrol and diesel, and provide modern transportation services to the public.
