The Journey Of Self-Discovery
To fulfill his passion and pursue a career in professional tennis, Bart Kendall left home early at the age of 16. But by the age of 19, he realized he wasn’t a good match for this career. “At that point, I had a decision to make – I had a full scholarship to a US university to play,” Bart mentions, “however, I chose to coach for a year and then went to Loughborough University to study Politics. Whilst my aspirations in tennis were unrealized, I learned some incredible life lessons.”
Moving out from home at a young age leaves behind an impactful lesson for the whole life, and it has been no different for Bart. The entire process made him independent from a young age and increased his mental toughness. “I’m extremely thankful to my parents for allowing me to pursue tennis at this age – having a daughter, I can’t imagine leaving home at 16.” Bart Kendall adds.
